Kiwi's take almost 2 million overseas trips a year (1.984 million in fact) - that equates to half of New Zealand's population travelling overseas each year.
June, July, September and December are the most popular months to travel - when school holidays occur. January and February are the quietest months.
In July, the estimated number of Kiwi's who will be overseas on any one day is 139,500. They will be overseas for an average of 19 days and a median of 10 days.
The most popular holiday destination is Australia, followed by Fiji, the Cook Islands and the United Kingdom.
Hot holiday destinations with the fastest growth are currently Tonga, Canada, New Caledonia, Niue, Vanuatu, Hong Kong and Samoa.
Going off the boil are Tahiti, Australia and Norfolk Island.
